STEP provides a wealth of biblical language features. Most of the biblical language tools are directly accessible from the Passage Lookup window panel which is the central workplace in the STEP bible browser.
Several of the biblical language tools are display options in the Passage Lookup window panel:
- Vocabulary in English, Greek and Hebrew.
- Transliteration of ancient language texts in the Roman alphabet.
- Grammar labels for parts of speech: article, noun, adjective, verb.
- Colour-coding of gender and number.
Two other biblical language tools are accessed from within the text pane of the Passage Lookup:
- Vocabulary boxes provide quick access to word searches and lexical references.
- The STEP Lexicon is accessible by a single mouse click on a word in context.
