To compare two or more bible versions:

  • In the Translation / Commentary box enter or select a primary version to be used as the basis for comparison, for example, ESV.  
  • In the Comparison versions box select one or more versions in the same language as the primary version. 
  • In the Bible text box enter or select the passage you wish to display, for example, Exodus 1. 
  • In the view options box (will be shown as) select either Column view with comparison or Interleaved with comparison

Interleaved Comparisons may be used to study minute differences between different texts in the same language. This is particularly useful for ancient language editions. The second example compares several editions of the Greek New Testament. The third example compares the Leningrad Codex with the Samaritan Pentateuch. 

If different verse numbering is used in these versions, the numbering follows the first version (see explanation).
